At this camp, the girls will be hiking through thee different state parks; Ferne Clyffe, Tunnel Hill, and Giant City. We will also swim and kayaking the lake of Egypt. Our cabin has bunk beds and indoor plumbing, so we aren’t quite “roughing it”. The girls will take turns preparing meals and clean up afterwards. They’ll learn to start a camp fire and basic survival skills. Group and individual therapy sessions will also be available. The sessions will be covered by insurance.
June 8-11 Adventure Camp 2023
A great time was had by all. We went swimming, hiking, fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, and spend time around the campfire. Look forward to many more trips down to Southern Illinois and Shawnee National Forest.

Summer Adventure Weekend
The country is still dealing with Covid19. However, some states are opening up, and Wisconsin is a little ahead of us. I have spoken to Expeditions Unlimited in Baraboo, Wisconsin. They are open for business, and have had some changes to daily programming to be sensitive to Covid19. Families would have their own cabin or half of divided cabin and separate tables for meals. If staff needed to get closer than 6’ (harness check, etc) they would be wearing a mask. We will spread out during activities and stress hand washing at all times.
This is a great time to get outside and do some fun activities with family and friends. Devi’ls Lake State Park is right across the street from Expeditions Unlimited and great for hiking, rock climbing, swimming, and kayaking.
